The 1.2m auto-acquire, ku-band flyaway very small aperture terminal (vsat) system is a subcomponent used with the sdn family of systems: sdn-h (5895-01-559-3108), sdn-m (5895-01-536-9944), and sdn-lvx (5895-01-575-5541). This subsystem capability provides high data rate communications over satellite; not a stand-alone system; can be configured for x, and ka bands; lightweight, deployable in a minutes utilizing the auto-acquire antenna system; and uses viewsat gui, and the gcs universal outdoor unit (odu). The complete system consists of two hard sided cases which house the odu, auto-acquire antenna pedestal, controller, 6-segment carbon fiber circular reflector, boom and feed, and three lnbs for global coverage
